Mozilla disables Flash in Firefox for Maemo

Here we go!

Another post in the blogosphere that confirms my thoughts a few days ago.

We’ve decided to disable plugin (not to be confused with add-ons, which are supported) support for this release.  The Adobe Flash plugin used on many sites degraded the performance of the browser to the point where it didn’t meet our standards.  If you wish to enable our experimental plugin support, you will be able to manually via about:config, but do so at your own risk.

Why Palm should’nt support Flash or at least…

… should let the user decide to globally switch the flash plugin off.
I think that don’t support Flash is a better solution, because there are many problems that Adobe have with the stability on Desktop OS’s as well, so why should the plugin be solid on webOS?

O2 offers the Palm Pre at a lower price

Since a few days O2, the exclusive distributor for the Palm Pre here in Germany, offers the Palm Pre at a lower price.

A few days ago you have to pay 481€ to get the webOS experience here. There is no Pixi available here, so the cheapest price to get it, is to buy a Pre. Since last week O2 offers the Pre now for “only” 401€.
You can buy the Pre with the so-called O2 MyHandy option and get one for this conditions:

49€ one time  fee
15€ per Month for 24 Months

You get also the also the TouchStone Cover and the Station with this offer.

Thats are 409€!

I think O2 has to reduce their stocks of the actual Pre, cause the Pre Plus GSM Models are to start arriving here shortly. So maybe there are other price offerings in the next weeks.
