Headlines2 2.0.2 submitted – What’s new

I just submitted version 2.0.2 to the AppCatalog.

After providing a list of changes a few days ago, here is the complete list what’s changed in this version:

  • [FIX] small glitch with article read pull down switching the article to fast
  • [FIX] current position (read count) in the article pop-up is now updated also in WebView
  • [ADD] Font size in list view is now selectable, we included three settings (small, medium, large) and need your feedback as soon as it’s available if the sizes fit your requested needs
  • [FIX] Some german translations
  • [ADD] You can now edit the title and URL of saved RSS feeds
  • [ADD] You can now reorder your RSS feeds and CustomNews searches
  • [FIX] Some small bug fixes that we found during the last few weeks
  • [ADD] Visual “spinner” when deleting an RSS feed to provide visual feedback
  • [ADD] You can now select the default view pane for each feed when opening the article pop-up

Also as noted, the price will be changed back to $3.99, so there is still the chance for a short time to get it for $1.99 as long as HP hasn’t approved the app.

Track My Transit – Boston updated to 1.0.4

Yep, you read it right, another update for our MBTA transportation app for webOS.
We missed a few small things, no bug fixes just enhancements this time!

We added full HP Pre3 support and re-added the availability for the Touchpad in the HP AppCatalog again. We missed the little check box in the last update. Sorry about that.

Now the few lucky owners of a Pre3 can use the full screen of 480×800 without the black bar at the bottom to wait for trains & busses in the Boston Area. Enjoy!

Track My Transit – Boston update

We just submitted an update for “Track My Transit – Boston” to the HP AppCatalog right in for the cold winter time.

This is update changes the colors of the prediction screen to be more readable in sunlight. So the dark blue is gone and changed to a lighter blue, that’s better readable on the dark background and therefore in daylight.
Also included are a number of small bug fixes with the T-Alerts system and some small performance improvements.

The update should be available in the next few days in the catalog and is for all the phones from Palm (Pre/Pre2, Pixi) and HP (Pre3, Veer)

More info about Track My Transit can be found here.

Long overdue update of MyLove

MyLoveI just submitted a long overdue update to one of the oldest apps from The CodingBees in the Palm HP AppCatalog. It’s the 2nd released app and was our first paid app back in May 2010.

It’s a simple and fun app, no productivity one like most of the other apps available.

The update includes only minor changes:

  • fixed a bug where webOS 2.x devices can’t launch the app
  • adjustments to fit the Pre3 screen size

nothing more, really :-)

Version 1.2.1 should be available soon. More info here

Going big and bigger!

With big and bigger we mean of course, the Pre3 and the TouchPad!

First, the smaller one – Pre3

Today HP approved an update for Headlines 1.0.2 for webOS that use of the full screen, means that the 20px bottom bar visible on most non-adjusted apps is no longer there, instead the app takes advantage of the full resolution by 480×800 and also got some updated graphics for it, because most of the scaled graphics didn’t look that good. Have a look in the AppCatalog on your device to get it.

Second, the bigger one – TouchPad

ConvertorWe’re happy to announce that HP also approved a new app we submitted. And it’s called Convertor XL(AppCat link). Yep, it is the premium unit & currency conversion utility now in big size with adjustments for the TouchPad UI. So still the same huge amount of units & currencies (over 400!). Still fully customizable to your needs.
Available for $1.99 around the world (where AppCatalog with paid apps is available).

And we have a special promotion for all our existing Convertor users, that bought the phone version earlier. We will announce that later today in an extra post, so if you’re already bought the app, stay tuned!

ColorHarmony available on any webOS device! Again.

ColorHarmony is now available on the TouchPad for a few days already, but with this submission to the AppCatalog it was not available for all the phones with webOS out there anymore.

This has been changed with the latest 1.6.1 release together with some enhancements for the shiny new devices.

  • fixed display of HEX color values on the TouchPad
  • better handling of back gestures (TouchPad)
  • Pre3 ready now with some now images
Best of all, it’s still free!
So launch your AppCatalog on whichever webOS device you are and download your copy today!

Tppd! is available in the Catalog!

Here we go! This was fast! Again, Tppd! is already available in the AppCatalog.

Here are some info I forgot on my last introduction blog post, so especially FrankenPre users should read it.

Get it in the AppCatalog

The App as I already wrote is a fun app I started to learn some of the new features that the webOS 2.x SDK provides. So it uses features (like JavaScript Services) that are not available on webOS 1.4.x version. And therefore I had to package the App as a webOS 2.1 only app.

If you’re on a meta-doctored Pre- or Pre+ (aka FrankenPre) you should use Impostah (via Preware) to download the app, according to Rod (@webosinternals) it’s a bug in the Catalog:

This should work fine and you can use Tppd! as long as you’re minimum webOS version is 2.1.

So that means Tppd! will not be available to webOS 1.4.x users, and never will be. Sorry, if you like Untappd and still have a webOS 1.4.x system, you should have a look at Growlr from @zhephree.
